Duality of switched DAEs
We present and discuss the definition of the adjoint and dual of a switched differential-algebraic equation. Based on this definition, we prove duality between controllability/reachability and determinability/observability for switched differential-algebraic equations. The switched system is viewed as a (linear) time-varying system, i.e. the switching signal is assumed to be fixed. In particula...
متن کاملStructural Controllability of Switched Linear Systems
In this paper, the structural controllability of switched linear systems is investigated. In particular, switched linear systems with independent subsystem models are studied. The structural controllability is a generalization of the traditional controllability concept for dynamical systems, and purely based on the graphic topologies among state and input vertices. First, two kinds of graphic r...
متن کاملOn partitioned controllability of switched linear systems
When a switched linear system is not completely controllable, the controllability subspace is not enough to describe the controllability of the system over whole state space. In this case the state space can be divided into two or three control-invariant sub-manifolds, which form a control-related partition of the state space. This paper investigates when each component is a controllable sub-ma...
متن کاملControllability of switched differential-algebraic equations
We study controllability of switched differential algebraic equations. We are able to establish a controllability characterization where we assume that the switching signal is known. The characterization takes into account possible jumps induced by the switches. It turns out that controllability not only depends on the actual switching sequence but also on the duration between the switching times.
